John Scarlett
Meet John, a fresh face in the photography game. His story kicks off in 2021 when the pandemic had everyone feeling a bit isolated. Photography became his escape, and he realized that it was the perfect combo of challenge and reward.
Starting with snapping pics of birds and wildlife, John's move to Guelph in 2022 sparked a whole new obsession—the local music scene. He dove in headfirst and hasn't looked back since.
Despite always having a soft spot for music, John admits he lacks the knack for creating his own. So instead, the next best thing is to capture the magic moments on the scene, when artists spill their souls on stage.
John states that Ontario's got an insane amount of talent. Seriously, more than you'd think. So, he's throwing out a plea: "Go out and support your local scene; no matter how small it is. In those tiny bars and clubs in your small town, there's pure talent out there, and let me be frank: I think you're missing out."
